I am a Business and Operational Executive and Director and have worked in commercial roles with some of the worlds largest Medical and Scientific companies such as Johnson and Johnson Med Tech and ThermoFisher Scientific and have always loved tailored, classic fashion. But I have always found it difficult to find business shirts that cater for a fuller bust. Every morning I would get up and get ready for my busy corporate role and go to put on my favourite store purchased shirts, only to find that they were gaping open and showing my bra which was not only uncomfortable for me, but I am sure uncomfortable for everyone around me. So, my morning ritual involved opening up my pack of Hollywood tape (which is a fantastic product if needed) and strategically cut the tape just long enough to keep the gaps closed and proceed to tape myself up for the day. Which you can imagine is not only time consuming, but also another consumable item used for the day that would end up in landfill. Plus I was also envious of mens shirting and the huge range of beautiful fabrics that feel amazing. So I decided to fix this issue by creating my own shirt! From a social responsibility, the incredible amount of waste and the resultant carbon impact of the fashion industry is beyond comprehension. Our ethos is to use only the finest dead stock materials that are sourced from global suppliers and supplied by local Australian merchants to give fabric another life instead of ending up in landfill or incinerated.
